Philippa is a housewife whose is married to a wealthy businessman. She juggles her time looking after the children with trading. She relies on the time-saving facilities in TradeGuider to help her manage her trading with her domestic chores.

Which of TradeGuider’s features do you use the most?

I use the Stock Scanner the most – it’s a great time-saver. It’s a very accurate predictor of strength or weakness. I also like to use the diamond short-term trend indicator and the volume thermometer. If the diamonds turn green and the volume rises above 50% on the thermometer, it’s a great sign that prices are going to rise. I like the concept of volume-based indicators – that is something that very much appeals to me.

How much time do you spend trading each day?

I have to position trade because of my domestic commitments. I probably spend two hours a day analyzing the various financial instruments, but this is usually disjointed. For instance, if one of the kids falls asleep, I’ll get some time to do some work. I just have to take the day as it comes. The priority is to analyze all open positions. That doesn’t take me long to do because my exposure isn’t great. The next thing I do is run my various scans to find new trading opportunities. Basically, I’m just looking for turning points and I can do that using the facilities I mentioned earlier.

How easy is TradeGuider to use?

I find the software very easy to use! Things are accessible so I don’t have any problems.

Can you summarize your use of TradeGuider is a couple of sentences?

I use TradeGuider to tell help me pin-point the markers that tell me when professionals are active in the market. I then use the tools within the software to tell me when the trend changes as a result. That’s it!

What do you trade?

I trade primarily in Futures, but I also dabble in Stocks too – I'm currently trading the E-mini

How have you done with the program?

I think I’ve done OK. I managed to pay for the program in the first month of operation, so it’s been a good investment. I’m not in the big league – I just wanted to earn some extra money whilst staying at home with the children and I figured this was a good way of doing so.

Would you recommend this program to a friend?

Yes, in fact I recommended it to my friend Judy a few weeks ago. She is a mother like me, but she has never done anything like this before. She sees me as something of a guru <laughs>.
