VSA Indicator Tools
The VSA indicators alert you to the 16 principles of VSA and they all build up a picture of what the Smart Money is doing. Through them you can identify when the Smart Money are active or inactive and if they are active whether they are accumulating or distributing. All of this is crucially important to a trader or investor and the huge majority out there have no idea!
Once you have learnt and absorbed these principles you will understand 95% of the Professional syndicate maneuvers in any market. When you click on an indicator which is a green or red triangle, a dialogue box appears giving you detailed information about the trading area you are looking at. The dialogue box is written exclusively by the creator of VSA, Tom Williams. The dialogue box contains three sections:
The first section is the price bar description. The latest populated price bar and what it means in VSA terms.
The second section is 'The BackGround'. The BackGround is very important as it can make a difference to how the market reacts to the indicator in question. You must look back 1 to 50 bars for ultra-high or ultra-low volume accompanied by a major VSA indicator. If there are VSA Indicators in the background this adds extra weight to the strength of the indicator you are looking at.
The third and final section in the dialogue box is 'The Future'. The dialogue here gives you strong decision support to help you take the decision to trade or not. This section will tell you to look for a two bar confirmation. This means wait for at least two bars to confirm what Tom has told you in the dialogue box.
